Research
AI stands as a forefront technology revolutionizing efficiency across industries, and Pfizer recognized its potential in enhancing internal processes. In pursuit of heightened productivity, Pfizer sought an AI content generator, delving into diverse platforms to understand their capabilities and user experiences. By leveraging existing platforms' strengths and incorporating tailored enhancements, Pfizer aims to pioneer a bespoke AI generator, optimizing efficiency and empowering its workforce with a cutting-edge tool for seamless content creation.
Key Findings
Navigating within the regulatory landscape of the health industry, Pfizer's AI generator faces unique constraints unlike other platforms. Through extensive research, key insights revealed the necessity to strike a delicate balance: empowering users with adequate freedom while meticulously aligning with regulations. The emphasis lies on crafting a solution that harmonizes compliance, simplicity, and user autonomy, ensuring Pfizer's AI generator serves as a reliable and innovative tool within the bounds of healthcare regulations.
Design Iteration
Before embarking on the creation of frames, we encountered access limitations to Pfizer's design system. To ensure seamless development and accessibility for the dev team, we took a preliminary step by establishing our own comprehensive design system. This internal system meticulously documented colors, components, and their relationships, serving as a unified reference point. By doing so, we empowered the team with a cohesive framework to streamline the design process, fostering efficiency in the absence of direct access to Pfizer's design resources. Simultaneously, the UX designers worked into wireframe creation. This simultaneous effort allowed for a synchronized workflow. Upon the completion of the wireframes, I seamlessly integrated the content, aligning it visually with Pfizer's established aesthetics and branding within the framework already established. This approach ensured a cohesive and harmonized end product that resonated with Pfizer's visual identity and met the project's design objectives.
*Due to privacy reasons, I am unable to show the full design system, so here are the basic UI foundations.
In response to Pfizer's regulatory framework, direct typing or chatting for content generation wasn't viable. Our solution involved a control panel housing selectable parameters. Initially, we diversified design styles within the components to add visual variation. However, iterative sessions and client feedback, especially considering Pfizer's audience of medical and marketing professionals, spurred a pivotal change. Simplification emerged as the priority. Consequently, we transitioned all parameters into dropdown menus, optimizing efficiency and aligning with the audience's preference for a streamlined control interface.
Conclusion
Collaborating alongside a dedicated team of UX designers and creative directors has been instrumental in crafting an great product for our client. Our journey involved active participation in client internal meetings and steering committees, fostering an environment where feedback was not just welcomed but pivotal. Through these interactions, we received invaluable insights that steered the progression of our design, ensuring alignment with the client's vision while prioritizing user experience. This iterative process, fueled by continuous feedback loops, has been instrumental in sculpting a product that not only satisfies our clients' needs but also promises an exceptional experience for its users.
The current designs have been finalized and locked, ensuring stability for the immediate phase. However, the iterative nature of our process remains agile, allowing for potential modifications and enhancements as we move forward to cover additional MVPs in the upcoming sprints. This flexibility enables us to adapt and refine designs in alignment with evolving project requirements and user feedback.
