Research
During the research phase, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of Bio Innovation Organization's competitors, delving into their experiences to glean valuable insights. By evaluating their strategies and user journeys, I aimed to pinpoint areas where Bio could excel further. This in-depth investigation was geared toward identifying opportunities for enhancement, enabling Bio to set new benchmarks and solidify its position as a frontrunner within the industry.
Key Findings
Competitors exhibit outdated design aesthetics, lacking a modern approach.
BIO also demonstrates a deficiency in modern design elements.
Inconsistencies in design patterns across various pages within Bio’s platform were identified, leading to a fragmented user experience.
Design Iteration
During the design process for Bio Innovation Organization (BIO), my aim was to introduce a more modern layout without causing user confusion due to a drastic change. To maintain consistency and familiarity for users, I leveraged existing components within BIO's design framework. By strategically integrating these components and gradually implementing additional features, I enhanced the overall design, ensuring a seamless transition towards a more modern and user-friendly interface. This approach aimed to balance innovation with user comfort, facilitating an improved experience without overwhelming the users with abrupt changes.
Conclusion
Through extensive collaboration with the frontend developer and technology manager, I actively sought feedback on my designs to ensure a holistic approach to the project. By engaging in open discussions and leveraging their expertise, I incorporated their insights and suggestions into the design process. This collaborative effort involved a continuous exchange of ideas, leading to a refinement of designs based on a consensus and compromise between multiple perspectives, resulting in an enriched and well-rounded final product.
